This was the sweetest little family- oriented session. It lasts about 40 minutes and honestly, we had as much fun as our 5 year old. The session involves making 3 different chocolate treats: a moulded animal/train, a chocolate bar and a marshmallow treat. The lady who ran the session was very kind and interactive with the kids. It’s such a lovely activity and one which I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
Second time we have booked our children in and they enjoyed it yet again. Great rainy day activity and lots of yummy chocolate to take home! Also good for parents/carers to have an hour peace and quiet with a hot drink. Highly recommend.
Great little excursion. Something different to do in the lakes. Three things made and happy kids - recommend!
Our son (6) absolutely loved this! He said it was the best thing he did all holiday. I was impressed that he came home with three separate chocolate creations, a mould and an apron and cap. Would definitely recommend.
This is a fantastic place, 5 stars just aren’t enough. We’ve taken our children twice and it we always have fun. It’s good hands on fun for kids and adults. Staff are amazing and make it so much fun. They were exceptionally good with our youngest who has SEN needs. We were made to feel welcome and taken care of and of course we ate plenty of chocolate. I recommend to anyone with kids.
What an amazing find! We stumbled upon this shop by accident and once inside the kids couldn't help but want to join in the chocolate making class! Staff were very helpful, classes on the hour. The kids enjoyed their class and brought home 3 chockate items each that they made! 100% worth the money.
This could be the highlight of our holiday. Honestly, so much fun. The girls running the workshop were great with kids and adults alike. Everything was explained clearly and was done in a really fun way. You get to eat a fair amount of liquid chocolate and keep all the things you make (including the molds). I honestly can't recommend this highly enough.
Absolutely amazing, staff catered for a dairy free member of our party, they were amazing with our 3 year old too, helping him decorate and eat and have fun!! Will be booking again!!
Really impressed with the helpful staff . We were a little nervous allowing our 4 year old and 9 year old to do the activity without us but the staff were amazing and we were able to sit back and enjoy taking photos of our cheeky monkeys having so much fun. Well worth the money and a great experience for the children. Would highly recommend.
An absolutely fantastic wet weather activity with our boys (4 and 10). The course leaders entertained them and they came home with some really delicious chocolate. We were not sure as these things can be a bit of a swizz but we got top value for money. Recommended.
Chocolate making class was a really good experience with our 4yr old. It was the middle of winter and so there was just us and they still let us do it which was very nice. Really good amount of chocolate to take home and she wears the semi disposable apron all the time!
All my 4 grandchildren enjoyed the experience. From the youngest being 5 up to 13. Well worth the money and would recommend it.
I brought my granddaughters who are visiting from Australia. They had the best time and obviously over the moon to be leaving with their very own selection of chocolates. Ladies were very friendly with us all . Thank you so much . Great job Hawkshead Chocolate Factory
I brought my daughter here today for a birthday treat with her friend, my other daughter also joined them. All 3 of them enjoyed their time making the 3 different chocolate treats. I would highly recommend it. 5 stars.

I love this little chocolate shop. Years ago, my husband, the children, and I came for a chocolate-making session for one of my husband's daughters' birthdays. It was a birthday present She'll never forget. We spent a delightful morning making our own chocolate and then found a lovely place to eat. Today I returned after a few years, and it's still the same. The staff are incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is warm and simple, without much noise or queues. I'll definitely be back with the children to spend another pleasant time making chocolate.
Fun time. I know it is supposed to be for younger children but us and our older teenage children had a great time!
What an amazing experience! I took 2 autistic adults and the staff so so welcoming, understanding and enthusiastic putting them at ease straight away and allowing them to be themselves and thoroughly enjoy it. They are already asking when we can go back! Highly recommend going
My daughter loved this! And I must say so did me and my wife. Something we wanted to do as a family. Definitely be back in the future. Now gonna go and enjoy the chocolate. Thank you all at hawkshead chocolate factory
Very helpful ladies from start to finish We were going to be late and miss our arrival slot- staff team out our session back by an hour so nobody missed out Took 6 kids today between 9-14 All of them loved it
A group of 4 adults and 8 children took part from start to finish it was brilliant. 3 chocolate activities which everyone enjoyed. Certainly worth the money for the effort put in by the staff. Thank you. X

Amazing experience for the kids! We loved watching with a cuppa tea and seeing their faces light up with excitement. Apparently it’s the tastiest chocolate my daughter has ever had…. And she ‘made’ it herself!

Cute little chocolate shop in Hawkshead. Definitely worth stopping in. There is a wide variety of chocolates and sweets to choose from. I chose an assortment of 8 from the counter and loved every piece of chocolate I chose. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more. The staff is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend!
